The people behind the exhibits
Most of what hangs in Whyseum was made by someone else. We never copy or re-host their work. Every card links straight to the original on the creator's own site, and this page lists everyone. If you made something here and want it described differently or taken down, tell us.
What our own exhibits stand on
- 3D rendering with three.js. Maps with d3-geo, topojson-client, and us-atlas / world-atlas by Mike Bostock, built from Natural Earth and the U.S. Census Bureau.
- The lit, lab-bench style of our 3D exhibits was inspired by Ryan Sael's interactive labs, which showed how good a science explainer in a browser can look.
- Wing Lab owes a debt to Bartosz Ciechanowski's Airfoil. The Nor'easter wind streaks nod to earth by Cameron Beccario.
- Rocket Lab is inspired by SpaceX's Falcon 9. Flight Deck is modeled on the Cessna 172 and Boeing 737. Whyseum isn't affiliated with any of these companies.
